The role
A Product Specialist is to actively promote and support the adoption of specified products within the Gynaecology portfolio to the customer base and to meet and exceed specific and sales and activity KPIs.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meet and overachieve on sales targets and deliver KPIs
  • Develop call plans relevant to overall strategy
  • Maintain and utilise CRM database (Salesforce) to maintain contacts and develop business plan for forecasting
  • Develop a coherent territory plan that includes a strategy for achieving sales targets, protecting existing business, and identification of key accounts and customers
  • Work with the Business Unit Manager to achieve strategic objectives, including conversion of major accounts and growth in existing accounts
  • Constantly improve and increase product and clinical knowledge
  • Develop stakeholder relationships with all stakeholders in accounts that are relevant to sales objectives
  • Minimum of 1 day per month spent with key customers
  • Minimum of 4 days per week spent on the road and in operating theatres with customers
  • Attendance at seminars and conferences as determined by the Product Manager
  • Submit all documentation in a timely manner, including monthly expense reports
  • This role will require travel to Tasmania at least once a month

About you

  • Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree
  • A proven track record of experience and success within medical device sales or another healthcare sales related role
  • Demonstrated experience in developing close customer relationships and providing high levels of customer service support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to learn and communicate clinical and technical information
  • Ability to analyse sales reports and spreadsheets in order to identify trends and changes
  • Demonstrated competence in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective selling and rapport building skills
  • Organised, punctual, professional
